Ecter Ferguson was born around 1890 in Tennessee. His mother was
Cherokee and his father was mulatto. Ecter was raised by his father in Tennessee
while his mother returned to Oklahoma with her tribe. Ecter later moved to
Kentucky, McCraken County, and married Azalee. Together they had two children,
Artie and Hudie. Ecter and Azalee later divorced and Ecter went on to have
two more children by two different women. Ecter Jr. and a daughter. Ecter
later died around 1970 in Beech Bluff, TN.
